Line-up
The band's third album, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet arrangement of previous albums and was a stronger, more consistent effort that had a harder edge than Hydra. The more edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the maturation in the group. Bobby Kimball's growing proficiency was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature.
